Frequently asked questions
What is CrackPay?
A self-custodial USD stablecoin wallet on Arc, Circle's blockchain where USDC is the gas token. Users hold dollars, sign with a passkey and never pay gas. It is a web app at www.crackpay.xyz.
Do I have to wire everything up by hand?
No. Install the CrackPay skills and ask your AI assistant for a Mini App. If you prefer to do it yourself, the SDK is a few lines.
What libraries are supported?
Anything that speaks EIP-1193: viem (recommended), wagmi, ethers and others. The SDK ships helpers for viem and React.
How do I connect to CrackPay?
import { connectCrackPay } from "@crackpay/miniapp-sdk/viem";
const crackpay = await connectCrackPay();
It never prompts. See Wallet connection.
Why does my app show "Connect wallet" inside CrackPay?
Because it is not using the SDK, or it reads window.ethereum before CrackPay has
answered. Inside CrackPay the provider arrives asynchronously, a few milliseconds
after load. Await getCrackPayProvider(), connectCrackPay() or useCrackPay().
How do I detect that I am running in CrackPay?
await getCrackPayProvider() resolves with a provider inside CrackPay and with
null anywhere else. The provider has isCrackPay: true.
Can I get the user's name?
You get their CrackPay handle, like @sam, with no prompt. See
User profile.
What networks does CrackPay support?
Arc mainnet (chain ID 5042) at www.crackpay.xyz. The SDK also knows Arc
Testnet (5042002). Read the chain from the provider and use getTokens(chainId);
see Arc network.
Do users pay gas?
No. CrackPay sponsors every transaction. Do not estimate gas or add fee fields.
What tokens are supported?
USDC and EURC on Arc. USDC is also Arc's native token. See Arc network.
Can users sign messages?
No. CrackPay accounts are passkey smart accounts and do not sign messages or typed data. Identify users by their account address. See Wallet connection.
How do I test my Mini App?
With Developer mode. See Test in CrackPay.
How do I submit my Mini App?
Fill in a listing file and send it through the submission form. See Submit your Mini App.
Who decides which apps are listed?
CrackPay's team. Every listed app is reviewed, and its URL and contracts are recorded. An app can be switched off at any time.
